AI Startup Vectorial

Artificial intelligence startup Vectorial has raised $3 million in a funding round led by SenseAI Ventures to expand its human behaviour simulation technology, which helps businesses predict how consumers may respond to products, digital experiences and marketing campaigns.

The round also saw participation from Smilegate, Berkeley SkyDeck, Berkeley AI Research Lab, Dent Capital, Motus Ventures and SUM Ventures. Angel investors, including product leaders from Meta, Shopify and Mastercard, also participated.

Founded by Taranveer Singh, Rahul Garg and Jasmine Kaur, Vectorial develops AI-powered tools that allow companies to test product ideas and assess potential customer responses before launching them in the market.

Its platform uses simulated audiences to evaluate user behaviour, offering businesses an additional research method alongside conventional surveys, interviews and product testing.

The company has developed SAPIENS, an AI model that incorporates socio-demographic, psychographic and behavioural data to simulate how different audience groups may interact with digital products and services.

The technology can be used to examine user responses across websites, mobile applications and AI-based interfaces. It also supports the testing of marketing campaigns and digital experiences, allowing businesses to assess potential customer reactions during the development process.

According to Vectorial, its platform has modelled more than 2.5 million people globally, including approximately 500,000 in India. The company also claims to have conducted over 30,000 simulations.

Vectorial said its SAPIENS model is 30% more accurate at predicting human behaviour than general-purpose large language models. It further claimed that its simulations reproduce findings from previous user research studies with more than 85% accuracy.

These performance figures are based on company disclosures and have not been independently verified.

The startup serves customers across healthcare, gaming and e-commerce, with companies including boAt, GoodRx, Suki AI, Everkind and Concrete Software using its technology.

Vectorial said its customers conduct approximately 600 simulations every month, which it estimates to be equivalent to around 40 conventional user studies.

The company also claims that businesses using its platform undertake up to 20 times more research than they previously conducted.

For marketing and product development teams, audience simulation tools offer a way to evaluate potential responses to campaigns, interfaces and product features before committing resources to wider deployment.

However, simulated behaviour does not necessarily reflect actual purchasing decisions or customer experiences, making real-world validation an important consideration when using AI-generated research.

The funding comes as businesses increasingly explore AI applications beyond content generation, including consumer insights, product testing and predictive analytics.

Vectorial has not disclosed its valuation following the investment or provided a detailed timeline for deploying the new capital.

The latest round adds to investor activity in AI-based research technologies aimed at supporting product development and customer experience decisions.
