Boomerang Partners Turns to AI for Traffic Analysis

Boomerang Partners is expanding the use of artificial intelligence across its iGaming affiliate marketing operations, applying the technology to areas including traffic analysis, fraud detection, content production and search visibility.

The affiliate marketing company said AI tools are becoming embedded in everyday workflows as teams seek to process larger volumes of data, identify patterns faster and assess the quality of traffic generated through different acquisition channels. The company, however, maintains that human expertise remains necessary to interpret AI-generated findings and provide business context.

One area where the technology is being applied is predictive traffic analytics. Rather than evaluating affiliate performance primarily through traffic volumes, AI-based systems can analyse patterns associated with player behaviour, acquisition sources and longer-term customer value. This allows affiliate teams to identify potentially valuable traffic earlier and adjust campaigns based on performance signals.

Boomerang Partners has previously said its in-house traffic analysis tool can predict user lifetime value within three months with a 4% margin of error. The company also uses payment analysis tools for real-time monitoring and testing tools that evaluate campaigns using behavioural data. These figures are company-reported metrics and have not been independently verified.

Fraud detection represents another application. AI systems can analyse large volumes of traffic data and flag anomalies that could indicate suspicious behaviour. For affiliate programmes, where advertisers need to determine whether traffic and conversions are legitimate, faster identification of unusual patterns can support decisions around traffic quality and partner performance.

The company is also using AI within content workflows. Generative AI can assist teams with research, drafting and adapting content for different markets, allowing larger volumes of material to be produced in shorter periods. Boomerang Partners has stressed that human review remains important for verifying accuracy, context and relevance before content is published.

Search is also emerging as an area of change. Alongside conventional search engine optimisation, the company is examining Generative Engine Optimisation, or GEO, as consumers increasingly discover information through AI-powered search and conversational platforms. This requires marketers to consider how content is interpreted and surfaced by generative AI systems in addition to traditional search engines.

Boomerang Partners' assessment reflects a wider shift in digital marketing, where access to AI tools is becoming less of a differentiator on its own. The company argues that competitive advantage will increasingly depend on how effectively businesses integrate the technology into existing processes while retaining specialist oversight.

For affiliate marketers, this puts greater emphasis on combining automation with transparent traffic analysis, verified content and human decision-making as AI takes on a larger role across campaign operations.
