Martech Playbook

Dr Ashish Bajaj, Group Chief Marketing Officer at Narayana Health, has announced his first book titled The MarTech Playbook, now available for pre-order on ZebraLearn. The book draws on his experience leading marketing transformation projects and focuses on how teams can move from basic digital setups to scalable marketing technology systems.

In a LinkedIn post, Dr Bajaj shared that the book is the result of months of collaboration and reflection on what works and what does not in marketing technology adoption. “Writing a book is nothing like writing a LinkedIn post or a pitch deck. It is a test of discipline, clarity, and persistence,” he wrote, adding that the project was shaped by conversations with industry peers and his experience at Narayana Health.

According to the author and publisher description, The MarTech Playbook covers practical methods for building and managing a marketing technology stack from the ground up. It outlines:

  • What to prioritise at each stage of MarTech maturity, from 0 to 1

  • How to avoid common implementation challenges

  • Approaches to setting up teams with clearly defined roles and responsibilities

  • How to map meaningful KPIs and filter out vanity metrics

  • Methods to connect data, media, and creativity for better outcomes

The book also includes frameworks intended to help marketing and finance teams measure and optimise performance.

As described by ZebraLearn, The MarTech Playbook helps readers understand the MarTech landscape, build an effective stack, and use data, automation, and AI to drive efficiency and customer engagement. It emphasises performance measurement and long-term scalability through structured frameworks and practical guidance.

In his announcement, Dr Bajaj acknowledged several collaborators and colleagues whose insights contributed to the content, including members of Narayana Health and senior marketing leaders such as Srinivas Uppaluri. He also credited ZebraLearn for supporting the publishing process.

The MarTech Playbook is available for pre-order on ZebraLearn. It is targeted at marketing practitioners, founders, and professionals involved in building or scaling MarTech systems across sectors.
