Persistent Systems has received the Databricks Brickbuilder Specialisation for Banking, Financial Services and Insurance, recognising its work in building data and artificial intelligence solutions for regulated financial services organisations.
The specialisation covers Persistent’s iAURA 2.0 solution, which is designed to help BFSI companies develop and deploy AI applications while maintaining governance, security and regulatory controls. The offering is built on the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform and is available through the Databricks ecosystem.
The recognition places Persistent among Databricks partners developing industry-specific solutions using the company’s data and AI infrastructure. Brickbuilder Solutions are partner-developed offerings validated by Databricks for particular industry requirements and use cases.
Persistent said iAURA 2.0 is aimed at financial institutions looking to move generative and agentic AI projects from experimentation into production environments. The platform is designed to support the development, deployment and management of AI agents while providing governance across data, models and AI-driven workflows.
The solution incorporates capabilities from Databricks including Unity Catalog for data and AI governance, MLflow for managing machine learning and generative AI lifecycles, and Mosaic AI for building and deploying AI applications. These components are intended to give organisations greater visibility and control over how AI systems access data and operate within enterprise environments.
For banks, insurers and other financial institutions, AI adoption comes with requirements around data privacy, security, auditability and regulatory compliance. Persistent is positioning iAURA 2.0 around these requirements, with governance mechanisms designed to help organisations monitor AI systems and manage access to sensitive information.
The development comes as financial services companies increasingly explore generative AI and AI agents for areas including customer service, risk management, fraud detection, operations and employee productivity. Moving such systems into production, however, requires enterprises to address data governance and oversight alongside model performance.
Persistent Systems has been expanding its work around enterprise AI, cloud and data modernisation as companies increase investments in generative AI infrastructure and applications. Its Databricks partnership forms part of this strategy, combining Persistent’s engineering and industry capabilities with Databricks’ data intelligence platform.
The Brickbuilder Specialisation gives Persistent additional validation within the Databricks partner ecosystem for its BFSI-focused offering. The company will use the designation as it works with financial institutions seeking to build governed AI systems on unified data infrastructure.
