Anthropic Introduces Claude Enterprise Tools

Anthropic has introduced a new set of reporting and budget management tools for Claude Enterprise, allowing organisations to track how employees use artificial intelligence, assess the work produced and monitor spending across teams.

Announced on October 28, the features include smart reports, in-app surveys and pooled group budgets. The tools are designed to provide businesses with greater visibility into AI usage as companies increase their investment in generative AI and automated workflows.

The smart reports feature allows administrators to examine how teams use Claude over a selected period. By analysing samples of conversations, the system identifies workstreams, estimates associated costs and highlights the outputs generated.

The reports also identify operational difficulties, including unsuccessful tool calls and missing integrations, while recommending ways to improve existing workflows. Administrators can use these findings to identify recurring tasks that could be standardised across departments.

Anthropic said the reports are intended to support adoption and investment planning rather than evaluate individual employee performance or inform employment decisions.

The second feature, in-app surveys, allows organisations to collect feedback directly from employees using Claude. Businesses can ask users about time saved, valuable applications and tasks that would become more difficult without access to the platform.

The third feature introduces pooled group budgets, enabling teams to operate within a shared monthly spending limit. Administrators can monitor consumption and receive notifications when spending reaches predefined thresholds.

The launch comes as businesses examine the financial returns from enterprise AI deployments, particularly as usage-based pricing makes expenditure dependent on the volume of AI processing.

According to a recent report from software development analytics company Jellyfish, based on data involving 276,000 customers, Claude Code and other Anthropic-powered tools accounted for nearly one-third of proposed code changes submitted for review.

The report found that spending on these tools had increased tenfold since the beginning of 2026, reaching approximately 2% of total engineering costs.

The findings indicate increasing adoption of AI coding tools alongside rising expenditure, making cost monitoring an important consideration for enterprise technology teams.

Anthropic has also reported a 900% net revenue retention rate, reflecting substantial growth in spending among existing customers between the third quarters of 2025 and 2026.

The company said information collected through the new reporting features would not be used for model training by default.

All three features are now generally available to Claude Enterprise customers, although access may vary depending on an organisation's security and data management configuration.

The introduction of reporting and budget controls adds an administrative layer to Claude Enterprise, allowing organisations to examine AI-related expenditure alongside employee feedback and reported work outputs.

However, the reports provide indicators of usage and productivity rather than independently establishing the financial return generated by AI deployments.
