Kotak Mahindra Bank has appointed Richa Dholi as Head of Marketing for its Credit Cards business, bringing in a marketing professional with more than 16 years of experience across banking, financial services, technology and advertising.
In her new role, Dholi will lead marketing for the bank's credit card business, marking her return to the banking sector after holding leadership positions across healthcare technology, digital platforms and creative agencies.
Dholi joins Kotak Mahindra Bank from Qure.ai, a healthcare artificial intelligence company, where she served as Global Marketing Director. Her previous responsibilities involved marketing within the health technology sector, which develops AI-powered solutions for medical applications.
The appointment brings together her experience in brand strategy, digital marketing and content development across business-to-consumer and technology-led organisations.
Before joining Qure.ai, Dholi held several senior positions in marketing and communications, including Head of Social Media and New Age Content at HDFC Bank.
During her tenure at HDFC Bank, she worked in a marketing function focused on social media and emerging content formats, gaining experience in digital communication within the financial services sector.
She also served as Vice President of Brand Strategy at Wunderman Thompson South Asia, where her responsibilities were associated with strategic brand development and marketing communications.
Her professional background includes a stint as Senior Brand Manager at Koo India, the Indian social media platform, adding experience in digital consumer platforms to her portfolio.
Earlier in her career, Dholi worked as Planning Director at Ogilvy, one of the advertising industry's established agency networks.
She has also served as Marketing Lead at Capgemini, the global technology and consulting company, and held brand and account management positions at Lowe Lintas and McCann Worldgroup.
Her career spans agency-side brand planning, corporate marketing and digital communication, covering organisations operating in financial services, technology and consumer-facing businesses.
At Kotak Mahindra Bank, the appointment places Dholi in a marketing leadership position within the credit cards division, a business where customer acquisition, product communication and digital engagement form part of marketing operations.
Credit card marketing typically involves communicating product features, rewards, offers and customer benefits across multiple channels, including digital platforms and customer-facing campaigns.
Her previous experience in banking and technology marketing provides a background relevant to these responsibilities.
The appointment also reflects the movement of marketing professionals between financial services, technology companies and advertising agencies, where expertise in brand positioning and digital communication can be applied across different sectors.
Kotak Mahindra Bank has not disclosed specific marketing initiatives, organisational changes or business targets associated with Dholi's appointment.
Further details regarding her priorities for the credit card marketing function have not been announced.
