Hitachi Digital has elevated Renaissa Ghosh Papnai to the position of India Marketing and Communications Head, expanding her responsibilities across brand strategy, corporate communications and marketing initiatives in the country.

Based in Noida, Papnai brings more than 13 years of professional experience across marketing, public relations, corporate communications, employer branding and stakeholder engagement. She has been associated with Hitachi Digital since August 2019 and assumed her current position in April 2026.

In her expanded role, Papnai will oversee the company's marketing and communications activities in India, including integrated marketing initiatives, brand positioning, internal and external communications, leadership communications and employee engagement.

Before taking on the position, she served as Internal Communications Lead for India from January 2025 to March 2026. Her responsibilities included managing employee communications, supporting employer branding activities and coordinating organisational messaging across teams.

Papnai joined Hitachi Digital as Assistant Manager, Marketing Communications, in August 2019. She was subsequently promoted to Deputy Manager, Marketing and Communications, in January 2023, a position she held until January 2025.

Her progression within the organisation has included responsibilities spanning marketing campaigns, corporate messaging, brand communications and employee engagement.

Prior to joining Hitachi Digital, Papnai worked with financial technology company Fiserv as Specialist, Branding and Communications, from October 2017 to August 2019.

During her tenure at Fiserv, she handled internal communication programmes, brand visibility initiatives, corporate social responsibility activities and employee engagement campaigns. Her work also involved developing corporate newsletters, videos and employee recognition programmes.

Earlier, she was associated with NXP Semiconductors, where she worked in public relations and corporate communications between November 2015 and October 2017.

At NXP, her responsibilities included developing publicity and branding strategies, coordinating media engagements, managing leadership communication opportunities and organising internal and external events. She also contributed to the company's global employee newsletter and developed NXP Bridge, an internal publication connecting employees across India.

Before moving into the technology sector, Papnai worked in publishing and public relations.

At Rupa Publications India and Aleph Book Company, she managed book publicity, author interactions, promotional campaigns and literary events. Her assignments included publicity activities associated with authors and public figures such as Chetan Bhagat, Shashi Tharoor and Ruskin Bond.

She also worked with Om Books International, handling media relations, social media campaigns and book launches. Earlier in her career, she was associated with Value 360 Communications, where she managed public relations and client servicing across technology, media and entertainment accounts.

Papnai holds an MBA in Marketing from Annamalai University.

Her elevation expands her responsibilities from internal communications to the broader India marketing and communications function at Hitachi Digital, which provides enterprise digital transformation services across cloud, data, artificial intelligence and related technologies.
