Celewish Media Launches AI Virtual CMO Maira Vardhan

Celewish Media has introduced Maira Vardhan as its Virtual Chief Marketing Officer, marking the celebrity engagement and talent management company's move to incorporate an AI-created personality into its marketing, creator and brand collaboration operations.

Created by Celewish Media Founder and CEO Mohssin Khaan and developed within the company's ecosystem alongside Co-Founder and COO Anvarul Hasan Annu, Maira is positioned as an AI-powered digital personality focused on celebrity marketing, influencer strategy, brand integrations and content-led communication.

Unlike a conventional virtual influencer primarily designed for social media engagement, Celewish is positioning Maira as a digital intellectual property that can participate in marketing conversations as well as commercial campaigns. The company said the character will share campaign insights, examine brand and creator fit, discuss celebrity endorsement strategies and explore metrics used in digital campaigns.

Maira will operate through social media, Celewish-produced content and selected brand collaborations. Her content is expected to combine marketing-focused discussions with lifestyle storytelling, allowing the company to experiment with an AI-created executive persona while retaining human oversight of its strategy, identity and creative direction.

The initiative has already moved into commercial applications. Maira recently participated in a promotional campaign for McPherson's Valentine, which Celewish described as one of her early brand collaborations. The company plans to explore further partnerships across fashion, beauty, technology, lifestyle, hospitality and other consumer categories.

Future formats could include social media integrations, branded storytelling, digital campaigns and product showcases. Celewish said it does not intend to position the virtual personality as a replacement for celebrities, influencers or marketing professionals, but as an additional format brands can use alongside traditional creator-led campaigns.

Khaan said the objective is to demonstrate how AI, data-led thinking and marketing strategy can work alongside entertainment and creator culture rather than replace human creativity. Annu similarly said the company's foundation remains human talent and storytelling, with AI expanding the creative formats available to brands.

Celewish said Maira will also function as a live case study for developing an AI-native personality across identity, content, storytelling and commercial communication. The company operates a network of more than 15,000 celebrities and creators and provides services spanning talent curation, endorsements, negotiations, production and campaign execution.

The launch comes as marketers increasingly experiment with AI-generated characters and synthetic content. For Celewish, Maira represents an attempt to extend that experimentation into influencer strategy and brand collaborations while keeping human teams responsible for the underlying creative and strategic decisions.
