Eric Pagdiwalla, COO, Bhartiya Converge

Bhartiya Converge, the Global Capability Centre enablement platform of Bhartiya Urban, has appointed Eric Pagdiwalla as Chief Operating Officer as the company looks to strengthen its execution capabilities and scale its integrated GCC model.

In his new role, Pagdiwalla will lead Consulting, Business Services and Customer Success, with a focus on helping global enterprises establish, operate and expand their capability centres in India. His appointment comes as Bhartiya Converge builds out its GCC orchestration platform, bringing together advisory, talent, workspace and operational services.

Pagdiwalla brings more than 25 years of experience across global capability centres, global business services, transformation, outsourcing, client management and operating-model development.

He joins Bhartiya Converge from Persistent Systems, where he served as Senior Vice President and Head of the GCC Practice. Before Persistent Systems, he held leadership roles at ANSR, including Managing Director for Client Success and Vice President for Service Delivery. His previous experience also includes senior positions at Ascena Retail Group, Hewlett Packard Enterprise and KPMG.

At Bhartiya Converge, Pagdiwalla's mandate will include strengthening business execution and developing scalable operating models as the company expands its engagement with global enterprises setting up and growing operations in India.

Sriram Chidambaram, Executive Director at Bhartiya Urban and Chief Mentor at Bhartiya Converge, said Pagdiwalla brings experience across GCCs, transformation and client operating environments. He added that the appointment would support the company's efforts to strengthen execution and build an end-to-end GCC platform.

Commenting on his appointment, Pagdiwalla said GCCs are increasingly becoming strategic platforms through which global organisations develop technology, innovation and business capabilities. He said his focus would be on building the business and supporting client outcomes as companies establish and expand their GCC operations.

Bhartiya Converge operates within Bhartiya Group's broader services platform and offers services aimed at helping international companies establish and scale operations in India. Its model combines GCC strategy and setup with business services, managed offices and longer-term operational support.

The appointment comes as global capability centres in India continue to expand beyond traditional back-office functions, increasingly taking on technology, digital transformation, product development and other strategic responsibilities.

For Bhartiya Converge, bringing Pagdiwalla into the COO role strengthens its leadership team as it looks to expand its GCC enablement business and work with more global enterprises building operations in India.
