Hospitality-focused artificial intelligence startup Dextr AI has raised $6.7 million in seed funding to expand its AI workforce platform for hotels and other hospitality businesses, as the company looks to scale its technology across global markets.
The funding round was led by Elevation Capital, with participation from Foundation Capital. Dextr plans to use the capital to hire more engineers who work directly with customers, expand integrations with hospitality software and develop additional AI agents. The round marks the startup's first institutional financing.
Founded in 2025 by CEO Sajid Shariff and CTO Scott Arnold, the San Francisco-based company develops specialised AI agents designed to work across hotel operations. Its platform covers voice reservations, guest management, back-office operations, staff management, sales and marketing.
Dextr follows what it calls a "forward-deployed" model, under which its engineers work with hospitality operators to configure AI systems around their existing workflows rather than providing a standard software deployment. The company said this approach is intended to connect AI adoption with measurable operational and financial outcomes.
Its AI agents include Daisy for voice reservations and bookings, Alfred for guest management and concierge services, and Manny for workforce and back-office operations. Its growth tools are also designed to support areas such as direct bookings, marketing campaigns and group sales.
Dextr said its technology is currently automating more than one million interactions each month across hundreds of properties in the US, Canada, the UK and Europe. These include franchised properties operating under hospitality brands such as Hilton, Wyndham, Best Western and IHG. The company also said its platform processes tens of millions of dollars in phone reservation payments every month.
The startup has also reported financial and operational results from individual customer deployments. According to Dextr, one reservation contact centre generated $80,000 in incremental revenue within 60 days, which the company calculated as a 49x return on investment. Another six-property hotel group reported an 8% improvement in EBITDA after eliminating 1,200 labour hours through AI-led housekeeping and workforce optimisation.
Dextr's platform integrates with property management, payments, point-of-sale, messaging and other hospitality systems.
The fresh capital will support Dextr as it expands its AI deployments across hospitality and builds additional agents for operational and customer-facing functions.
