Cybersecurity startup Glow has emerged from stealth with a $180 million Series A funding round, reaching a valuation of $1.2 billion as it positions itself to tackle a growing class of endpoint security risks created by artificial intelligence agents and developer tools in enterprise environments.
The funding round was led by Sequoia Capital, Cyberstarts, Greenoaks and Redpoint Ventures, with participation from Index Ventures, Lux Capital, Swish Ventures, Holly Ventures and Operator Collective. The company plans to use the capital to expand its engineering and go-to-market teams while scaling its cybersecurity research arm, Glow Labs.
Founded in 2025, Glow was established by former technology and cybersecurity executives with experience at Meta, Snowflake and Claroty. Chief Executive Officer Roi Tiger previously served as Vice President of Engineering at Meta, while Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer Omer Singer led cybersecurity strategy at Snowflake. Co-founder Ophir Arie earlier held the role of Vice President of Research and Development at Claroty. The leadership team also includes Chief Product Officer Arnon Joseph, formerly of Meta, and Chief Operating Officer Emily Heath, who previously served as Chief Information Security Officer at United Airlines and DocuSign.
Glow's launch comes at a time when enterprises are rapidly deploying AI assistants, coding agents and developer automation tools across employee devices. According to the company, traditional endpoint detection and response platforms were designed to identify malicious software after it has entered a system. Glow is instead promoting a prevention-first approach that aims to stop risky applications, AI agents and developer tools before they gain access to enterprise endpoints.
The company's platform uses specialised AI agents running directly on enterprise devices to continuously map installed software, analyse risk in real time and automatically enforce security policies. Rather than relying solely on signature-based detection, the system evaluates behaviour and context to determine whether software or autonomous AI agents should be permitted to execute within an organisation's environment.
Glow said its technology has already demonstrated the ability to identify malicious software packages and prevent AI-powered developer tools from introducing potentially harmful code into enterprise systems. The company believes that AI is reshaping endpoint security by enabling software agents to independently install packages, access APIs and execute workflows, creating new attack surfaces that legacy security platforms were not built to monitor.
The startup enters a competitive cybersecurity market dominated by vendors including CrowdStrike, SentinelOne and Microsoft Defender. However, Glow argues that widespread enterprise adoption of AI requires a different security architecture capable of monitoring autonomous software agents rather than only human users.
The company has established its headquarters in Palo Alto while maintaining engineering operations in Israel. It is also expanding its presence in the United States and investing in AI security research to address emerging enterprise threats.
Glow's emergence reflects growing investor confidence in cybersecurity platforms built specifically for the AI era. As enterprises continue integrating generative AI into business operations, startups focused on securing AI-enabled workflows are attracting significant funding alongside broader investment in enterprise AI infrastructure.
