Chandan Mukherji, Trailytics AI

Trailytics AI has appointed former Nestlé India strategy and marketing leader Chandan Mukherji to its advisory board, strengthening its leadership team as the company expands its AI-driven analytics offerings for consumer brands.

Mukherji joins the Gurugram-based analytics company as Chief Strategic Advisor, bringing more than three decades of experience across strategy, consumer insights, marketing and business transformation. His appointment comes as enterprises increasingly look to integrate artificial intelligence with analytics to improve decision-making across commerce, retail and supply chain operations.

Trailytics AI provides AI-powered analytics and digital intelligence solutions for brands, with offerings spanning digital shelf management, campaign automation, demand planning, attribution, measurement, retail intelligence and data-as-a-service. The company works with businesses to help optimise marketing performance, strengthen e-commerce visibility and improve data-led business decisions.

The company said Mukherji's appointment aligns with its plans to scale AI-powered capabilities as consumer journeys become increasingly fragmented across digital commerce, media platforms, organised retail and quick commerce channels. Businesses are placing greater emphasis on connecting consumer data, marketing performance and commercial execution through unified analytics platforms.

Mukherji most recently served as Director and Executive Vice President for Strategy, Marketing and Communication at Nestlé India, where he played a key role in shaping the company's strategic and brand initiatives. Before that, he held the position of Global Head of Insights at Nestlé's headquarters in Switzerland, overseeing consumer insights across international markets. Earlier in his career, he also worked with Hindustan Unilever in senior leadership roles focused on consumer understanding and brand strategy.

Announcing the appointment, Trailytics AI Founder and Chief Executive Officer Anirudh V said Mukherji's experience across strategy, marketing, consumer insights and large-scale business transformation would help guide the company's next phase of growth. According to the company, his expertise will support the development of AI-led solutions that enable brands to make faster, more informed decisions across the consumer journey.

Commenting on his new role, Mukherji said organisations that successfully combine consumer understanding, commercial execution and technology will be better positioned to compete in the evolving marketplace. He added that he looks forward to working with the Trailytics AI team as it develops technology designed to help businesses improve decision-making through data and artificial intelligence.

The appointment follows Mukherji's departure from Nestlé India at the end of 2025 after a long leadership tenure with the company. Since then, he has been associated with advisory and industry engagements across the marketing and startup ecosystem. His move to Trailytics AI marks his first formal advisory board position since leaving the FMCG major.

The announcement also reflects a broader trend across the AI ecosystem, where startups are increasingly bringing experienced leaders from established consumer companies onto advisory boards. As AI adoption expands beyond experimentation into enterprise-wide deployment, companies are seeking expertise in brand building, consumer behaviour and commercial strategy alongside technological capabilities.

For Trailytics AI, the appointment signals its intent to strengthen its strategic leadership as demand grows for AI-powered analytics platforms that help organisations integrate marketing intelligence, automation and data-driven decision-making. The company said it expects Mukherji's experience to contribute to the continued development of solutions for brands navigating increasingly complex consumer and retail environments.
