Accenture has appointed Emma Chalwin as Chief Marketing Officer, bringing the former Workday marketing chief into its global leadership team as the professional services company sharpens its positioning around artificial intelligence and enterprise reinvention.
Chalwin will take up the role on October 1, 2026. She will oversee Accenture's global marketing and communications organisations and report directly to Chair and Chief Executive Officer Julie Sweet.
She joins Accenture after serving as Chief Marketing Officer at Workday, where she was responsible for the company's global brand and customer demand strategy. During her tenure, Chalwin worked across areas including brand transformation, demand generation and customer engagement as the enterprise software company expanded its positioning around AI and the future of work.
Before Workday, Chalwin spent more than eight years at Salesforce in a series of senior marketing positions. Her roles included Executive Vice President of Global Field Marketing, alongside leadership responsibilities covering the Americas, the UK and Ireland, and other regional markets.
Her career also includes senior marketing positions at Adobe, McAfee and Macrovision. Overall, Chalwin brings more than 30 years of experience across technology marketing, brand strategy, field marketing, customer engagement and demand generation.
At Accenture, Chalwin will be responsible for connecting the company's brand and marketing strategy with its broader commercial priorities. The appointment comes as Accenture continues to expand its focus on AI-led business transformation and positions itself as a reinvention partner for enterprises adopting emerging technologies.
Sweet said Chalwin's experience in translating technology innovation into customer value would support Accenture's efforts to connect its brand, demand generation and sales activities. The company is increasingly incorporating AI across its services as clients look to deploy the technology across business functions.
Chalwin said the role presents an opportunity to build Accenture's market influence, strengthen client relationships and support demand generation while using AI within the company's broader marketing approach. She also emphasised maintaining human connection as businesses adopt more AI-driven processes.
The appointment places an experienced technology marketing executive at the helm of Accenture's global marketing organisation at a time when AI is becoming central to both its client services and corporate positioning.
Accenture serves approximately 9,000 clients globally and reported around $70 billion in revenue for fiscal 2025. The company has been expanding its AI capabilities across consulting, technology, data and industry-focused services as enterprises increase investments in generative and agentic AI.
