PhonePe has rebranded its stockbroking and investment platform Share.Market as PhonePe Invest, introducing a portfolio intelligence tool designed to help users assess, manage and optimise their investments. The announcement, made on October 19, marks an expansion of the company's wealth management offerings under the PhonePe brand.
The transition brings PhonePe's investment services into its broader financial ecosystem, which includes digital payments, lending and insurance. The company aims to make research-backed investment tools accessible to a wider audience, including individuals entering the equity market for the first time.
Alongside the rebranding, PhonePe has launched Portfolio Optimiser, a proprietary tool that allows investors to build, review and optimise their portfolios through a unified interface. The feature is designed to support investment decisions by providing portfolio analysis and research-based insights.
The tool offers portfolio-building options aligned with investors' risk profiles, alongside insights into asset allocation and portfolio composition. It also supports portfolio rebalancing, enabling users to evaluate and adjust their holdings based on the information available through the platform.
PhonePe Invest will continue offering stocks, initial public offerings (IPOs), mutual funds and futures and options (F&O). Portfolio Optimiser will be available through the dedicated PhonePe Invest application, while simplified investment journeys will also be integrated into the main PhonePe app.
Rahul Chari, Founder and Chief Product and Technology Officer at PhonePe, said the transition reflects the company's intention to bring investment products and research tools under a common identity.
"As more individuals across India begin their wealth creation journey, our objective is to make investing simpler and more informed, so that people can invest with confidence while staying in full control of their investing decisions," Chari said.
The company is also seeking to reach consumers who currently use savings products but have not entered direct equity investing. By connecting investment services with its existing financial ecosystem, PhonePe intends to provide a pathway for users exploring additional investment options.
For existing Share.Market customers, the transition will not affect demat holdings, account balances, watchlists, order histories or login credentials. Users can continue accessing their accounts and trading through the renamed platform.
PhonePe has also confirmed that brokerage structures, fee plans and annual maintenance charges will remain unchanged as part of the rebranding.
Share.Market was originally launched in August 2023 through PhonePe Wealth Broking, the company's investment services subsidiary. The platform provides access to multiple investment products and research-based tools for retail investors.
With the introduction of PhonePe Invest and Portfolio Optimiser, the company is expanding its focus beyond trade execution towards portfolio analysis and investment management, as digital financial platforms increasingly incorporate data-driven tools into their services.
