The AI content creation platform combines GPT-5.6, GPT-6 Astra and GPT-Image-2.5 to help creators and brands develop advertising visuals, video content and campaign assets.
AI-powered content creation platform Pollo AI is using OpenAI's models to help businesses, marketers and creators convert product photographs and creative ideas into advertising videos and campaign visuals, according to a company case study published by OpenAI on October 8.
The platform integrates GPT-5.6, GPT-6 Astra and GPT-Image-2.5 to support creative workflows, including image generation, video production, script development and campaign planning.
Founded by Bill Zhu, Pollo AI currently serves more than 26 million users who create videos, advertisements and other visual content through the platform.
Its latest offering, Pollo Agent, allows users to provide initial concepts or visual references, which are then developed into storylines, scripts and scene sequences using OpenAI's models.
The platform uses GPT-5.6 for task routing and GPT-6 Astra for more complex activities, including narrative development and scene revisions. GPT-Image-2.5 supports the creation of posters, storyboards and advertising visuals.
According to Pollo AI, the combination has reduced the time users spend selecting or switching between AI models by more than 50%.
The company also reported that approximately 30% of creator sessions begin with video templates or workflows based on trending content formats.
Pollo AI has expanded its offerings to include tools aimed at marketers, small businesses and direct-to-consumer brands seeking to produce advertising content without conventional production processes.
Its Photo to Video Ads feature, available through the Marketing Studio suite, converts static product images into short promotional videos using AI-generated visual sequences.
In one example shared by OpenAI, a fragrance brand used the tool to transform a product photograph into an approximately 15-second advertisement featuring textured backgrounds, lighting effects and close-up product shots.
The platform has also been used to develop luxury campaign visuals for jewellery brands. One customer used Pollo Agent and GPT-Image-2.5 to generate an editorial-style advertisement featuring jewellery displayed on a model alongside a cheetah.
Another example involved a beverage brand that converted a conventional product photograph into a digitally generated miniature landscape for use in an advertising campaign.
Pollo AI Chief Technology Officer Peter Zhou said the company selected OpenAI's models based on their ability to interpret creative instructions, generate consistent visual outputs and support multimodal workflows.
The company evaluates generative AI models against user prompts, assessing factors such as output quality, consistency, stylistic range, processing speed and cost.
Pollo AI said its development priorities over the next 12 months include simplifying the process of converting initial creative concepts into content that can be published, tested or used in marketing campaigns.
The company has not disclosed revenue figures or independent performance data demonstrating the advertising effectiveness of AI-generated campaign assets.
Based on OpenAI's October 8, 2026 customer case study. User figures, workflow improvements and campaign examples are company-reported, rather than independently verified advertising performance results.
