Hang Ten Systems, the enterprise artificial intelligence startup founded by former Infosys CEO Vishal Sikka, has raised an additional $53 million in seed funding, just weeks after closing its first institutional round.

The latest investment was led by Xora, Temasek's early-stage investment platform, with participation from Mayfield, which led the startup's previous round. Other investors include Aramco Ventures, Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan, Micron CEO Sanjay Mehrotra and Yahoo co-founder Jerry Yang, who also sits on Hang Ten's board.

The funding takes the Palo Alto-headquartered company's total capital raised to $85 million. Hang Ten had previously secured $32 million in seed funding in June, led by Mayfield with a strategic investment from Aramco Ventures. The second round closed around five weeks after the initial financing. The company has not disclosed its valuation.

Founded in May 2026, Hang Ten is targeting large enterprises looking to use AI to build, modernise and maintain software. The company typically works with businesses generating more than $10 billion in annual revenue and combines AI-led software development with enterprise consulting.

Hang Ten is currently working with existing customers and late-stage prospects across 21 major enterprises in the US, Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Customers named by the company include Fresenius Kabi, Saudi Aramco and Siemens Energy. It has also secured multiple seven-figure contracts and is pursuing larger eight-figure engagements, according to Sikka.

Rather than developing its own foundation model, Hang Ten is focused on applying existing AI capabilities to enterprise software workflows. Its engineers use an internal framework called Hobie, which packages reusable AI "skills" for complex and regulated enterprise projects.

The startup says AI can allow smaller engineering teams to handle some projects that previously required significantly larger workforces. Co-founder and Chief Design Officer Sanjay Rajagopalan said some engagements can involve teams of two to four people compared with around 30 under conventional development models. Final quality checks and certification remain with customers or independent third parties.

Hang Ten currently employs around 20 to 25 people across the US, Middle East and Australia. The latest capital will be used to expand its engineering, consulting and sales teams, with hiring also planned in Europe and India.

Sikka previously founded enterprise AI company VianAI after leaving Infosys in 2017. VianAI raised $50 million in seed funding and later secured $140 million in a SoftBank Vision Fund 2-led round in 2021.
