Irvinder Singh Lail, J.S. Held

Global consulting firm J.S. Held has appointed Irvinder Singh Lail as Head of Global Capability, a newly expanded leadership role aimed at strengthening the firm's global operating model, talent strategy and AI-enabled service delivery. The appointment reflects the company's continued investment in building integrated global capabilities as enterprises increasingly demand technology-driven consulting services.

Based in India, Lail will lead the development of J.S. Held's global capability organisation, with responsibility for expanding centres of expertise, standardising shared platforms and strengthening collaboration across international teams. The company said the role is designed to improve how specialised expertise is organised and deployed across regions while enhancing operational capacity to support complex client engagements.

According to J.S. Held, Lail will focus on advancing the firm's global service delivery model by improving coordination across time zones and enabling faster mobilisation of experts for high-priority assignments. The initiative forms part of the company's broader strategy to create a more integrated consulting network capable of supporting clients worldwide through unified operations and digital capabilities.

The appointment also strengthens J.S. Held's digital transformation agenda. Lail will work closely with Jessica Larson, Senior Vice President of Digital Transformation, to align global talent strategies with the firm's investments in artificial intelligence, automation and advanced digital technologies. The company said integrating workforce planning with AI adoption will be a key element of its long-term growth strategy.

Commenting on the appointment, Lee Spirer, President and Chief Executive Officer of J.S. Held, said the firm's next phase of growth will depend on strengthening how teams collaborate globally while expanding access to specialised expertise. He added that Lail's experience in operational transformation and global capability development will help enhance the firm's ability to serve clients across regions.

Lail brings more than 25 years of experience across strategy consulting, operational transformation, talent management and global capability centre development. Before joining J.S. Held, he led the Global Capability Center at Alvarez & Marsal. His professional experience also includes senior leadership roles at Bain & Company, Ernst & Young and Swiss Re, where he worked on large-scale transformation programmes spanning professional services, financial services, insurance and technology.

Throughout his career, Lail has helped establish and scale global capability centres for multinational organisations, focusing on operational excellence, shared services, digital transformation and talent development. His background also includes expertise in Lean Six Sigma methodologies and enterprise operating models that support distributed global teams.

Speaking about his new role, Lail said his focus will be on strengthening coordination across the organisation, expanding shared platforms and unlocking greater value through global capabilities. He added that AI and digital technologies will continue to play an increasingly important role in enabling experts across different regions to collaborate as a unified team.

The appointment comes as consulting firms worldwide continue to invest in AI-enabled operating models and global capability centres to improve efficiency, accelerate client delivery and strengthen access to specialised talent. Industry observers note that enterprises are increasingly seeking advisory partners capable of combining technical expertise with digital innovation and scalable delivery models.

For J.S. Held, the leadership appointment represents another step in expanding its global consulting capabilities as demand grows for AI-driven transformation, risk advisory and digital consulting services. By integrating talent strategy with technology investments, the firm aims to strengthen collaboration across its international operations while enhancing service delivery for clients navigating increasingly complex business challenges.
