Global commercial real estate services firm JLL has inaugurated a new Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Hyderabad, strengthening its India operations as demand for technology-enabled business services, analytics and digital transformation continues to grow.
Located in Hyderabad's Financial District, the new 120,000 sq ft facility will serve as the company's second Global Capability Centre in India after Gurugram and its sixth worldwide. Operated under JLL Business Services (JBS), the centre is expected to support the company's global operations while expanding capabilities across technology, analytics and enterprise services.
JLL said it plans to scale the Hyderabad workforce to 1,600 professionals over the coming years as the facility ramps up operations. The company expects the centre to support business functions including finance, human resources, lease administration, project and development services, advanced analytics and technology-enabled solutions for its global clients.
The Hyderabad expansion reflects a broader trend among multinational enterprises increasing investments in India's Global Capability Centre ecosystem. GCCs have evolved beyond traditional back-office operations into strategic hubs responsible for innovation, digital engineering, AI, analytics and enterprise transformation. India has become a preferred destination for these centres due to its deep technology talent pool, mature digital ecosystem and cost competitiveness.
According to JLL, the Hyderabad centre has been designed as a modern workplace that supports collaboration, hybrid work and employee wellbeing. The office incorporates technology-enabled workspaces, sustainable design elements and flexible work environments intended to improve productivity while supporting globally distributed teams.
Matthew Rees, Chief Shared Service Center Officer at JLL Business Services, said the investment reflects the company's confidence in India's talent ecosystem and Hyderabad's emergence as a major global business destination. He noted that professionals based at the new facility will contribute to advanced business operations that support commercial real estate decisions across international markets.
Dheeraj Popli, Head of Global Service Center, India, JLL Business Services, highlighted India's growing role in global innovation, pointing to the country's large STEM talent base and increasing contribution to AI development, research and complex enterprise operations. He said the combination of technical expertise and collaborative capabilities continues to make India an attractive destination for high-value global business functions.
Hyderabad has emerged as one of India's fastest-growing GCC hubs, attracting investments from multinational companies across technology, financial services, healthcare and professional services. The city's infrastructure, business-friendly environment and access to skilled talent have helped position it as a preferred location for companies looking to expand global operations.
The new facility will also strengthen JLL's global delivery network, joining its existing shared service centres in locations including Dalian, Manila, Warsaw and Costa Rica. Once fully operational, the Hyderabad centre will become part of a network supporting more than 6,000 professionals globally, with over half of that workforce based in India.
The launch comes amid sustained momentum in India's commercial real estate and enterprise technology sectors, where Global Capability Centres are playing an increasingly important role in driving demand for premium office space and digital talent. Companies are expanding GCCs to support functions such as artificial intelligence, automation, cloud services and data analytics as they modernise global operations.
For JLL, the Hyderabad expansion represents a strategic investment in strengthening its global service delivery capabilities while reinforcing India's position as a key hub for enterprise innovation. As businesses continue to accelerate digital transformation, GCCs are increasingly becoming central to how multinational organisations scale technology, operations and specialised expertise across international markets.
