Joshi Alaparthi, VP and Head of India GCC, AssetMark

AssetMark, a US-based wealth management technology and services provider, has appointed Joshi Alaparthi as Vice President and Head of its India Global Capability Centre (GCC), as the company strengthens its technology and operational capabilities in the country.

Alaparthi assumed the position in August 2026 and recently announced the development through a LinkedIn post. In his new role, he will focus on establishing the India GCC as an integrated part of AssetMark's global organisation, with responsibilities spanning technology, operations and cross-functional collaboration.

The appointment comes as AssetMark expands its presence in India through its Hyderabad-based operations, which are intended to support the company's global wealth management platform and technology services.

In his LinkedIn announcement, Alaparthi outlined the importance of collaboration between technology and operations, alongside building teams capable of supporting the company's broader business objectives.

“Our focus is on strengthening collaboration between these functions, developing high-performing teams and creating an environment where people can grow, contribute and make an impact,” he wrote.

Before joining AssetMark, Alaparthi served as Managing Director, Alpha, at State Street, where his responsibilities included technology and data management capabilities supporting financial services operations.

He was associated with State Street's Alpha business, which provides investment management technology and data solutions to institutional clients.

Earlier in his career, Alaparthi spent more than two decades with Eagle Investment Systems, a BNY Mellon company, where he worked on enterprise technology and data management platforms.

His professional experience includes financial technology, engineering leadership, enterprise data management and the development of technology teams supporting global investment operations.

At Eagle Investment Systems, he contributed to the development of enterprise data management capabilities used by financial institutions.

AssetMark provides wealth management technology, investment solutions and operational services to independent financial advisors. Its offerings include portfolio management tools, investment platforms and technology designed to support advisory businesses.

The company's expansion in India forms part of its efforts to develop technology and operational capabilities that can support its international business requirements.

Its Hyderabad presence is being developed under AssetMark Global Wealth, with SMC Squared and Hexaware Technologies supporting the establishment of the centre and its talent capabilities.

The India GCC is expected to contribute to technology development and operational delivery while working with teams across AssetMark's global organisation.

The leadership appointment also reflects the increasing responsibilities assigned to India-based GCCs, which are taking on functions involving technology engineering, data platforms and business operations for multinational organisations.

With Alaparthi leading the India centre, AssetMark will focus on building its local teams and integrating their capabilities with the company's wider technology and operational structure.
