Cloud enterprise resource planning company Acumatica has opened a Global Capability Center in Hyderabad, expanding its engineering presence in India as the company looks to support product development and its international operations.
Located in Nanakramguda, the new facility has opened with more than 30 employees, with additional hires expected in the coming months. The center will initially focus on engineering, although Acumatica said it could expand into other functions over time.
The Hyderabad facility joins Acumatica’s existing operations across the United States, Canada, Serbia and Sri Lanka. The company is positioning the center as an engineering hub that will develop products and capabilities for customers across its global markets.
The expansion builds on Acumatica’s growing presence in Asia. Earlier this year, the company said it had launched a new office in India while also expanding operations in Sri Lanka and Montreal as part of its international growth strategy.
Miten Mehta, Chief Engineering Officer at Acumatica, said the company sees its India operation developing into a significant contributor to its future growth. He cited the country’s engineering talent and technology ecosystem as factors behind the decision to establish the center in Hyderabad.
Acumatica has established the GCC in partnership with Summit Consulting Services, an ANSR company. The partnership will support areas including capability design, talent strategy and the operational scaling of the Hyderabad facility.
The new center comes as Acumatica continues to develop its cloud-based ERP platform for small and mid-sized businesses. Its software covers business functions including financial management, inventory, commerce, construction, manufacturing and distribution.
Artificial intelligence is also becoming a larger part of the company’s product strategy. Acumatica’s cloud ERP platform includes AI-powered automation designed to handle repetitive processes, identify anomalies and provide business insights.
The company was founded in 2008 and says it serves more than 10,000 customers. Its corporate information lists more than 700 employees globally, although a March 2026 company update said its workforce had grown from 240 to more than 800 employees over the previous six years.
Acumatica operates through a channel-led business model, working with resellers and other partners to sell, implement and support its ERP software. The Hyderabad engineering operation adds another development location to that international structure.
The opening also comes amid continued growth in India’s GCC ecosystem. Hyderabad has developed into a major location for multinational technology and capability centers, supported by talent across areas such as artificial intelligence, data and analytics, cloud technology, cybersecurity and enterprise platforms.
For Acumatica, the immediate focus of the Hyderabad center remains engineering. The company has not disclosed a long-term headcount target for the facility or specified which additional business functions could eventually be based there.
The expansion nevertheless gives Acumatica a larger engineering presence in India as it continues developing its cloud ERP platform and supporting customers across international markets.
