The Bengaluru-based startup will use the seed funding to develop multilingual AI relationship managers, expand enterprise deployments and enter the US market.
Bengaluru-based artificial intelligence startup RevRag AI has raised $2.5 million in a seed funding round led by Accion Ventures, with participation from Cedar Hill Capital, Wyser and Venture Catalysts, as it looks to expand its AI-powered customer engagement platform for financial institutions.
Announced on October 14, 2026, the funding will support product development, additional enterprise deployments and the company's planned expansion into the United States.
RevRag AI develops multilingual AI agents that operate within the applications of banks, lenders, fintech companies and insurance providers. These agents function as digital relationship managers, assisting customers with onboarding, financial product selection, sales processes and customer support.
Unlike conventional chatbots that operate through separate interfaces, the company's AI agents are embedded within financial applications and integrated into existing workflows. The platform is designed to provide contextual assistance while customers navigate digital financial services.
According to the company, its technology aims to address challenges associated with digital banking adoption, particularly among users who face language barriers, limited familiarity with financial terminology or difficulties completing transactions independently.
RevRag said its AI agents can help financial institutions reduce customer drop-offs and improve engagement while lowering service delivery costs by up to 70%. The figure represents a company-reported capability rather than an independently verified industry benchmark.
The startup currently works with more than 45 financial institutions, including PhonePe, Bajaj Finance, Motilal Oswal, IIFL, Aditya Birla Capital, DCB Bank and Razorpay.
Ashutosh Singh, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of RevRag AI, said the company's objective is to make personalised financial guidance available through digital applications rather than limiting such services to customers with dedicated relationship managers.
The latest investment follows an earlier pre-seed funding round backed by Powerhouse Ventures and angel investors, including CRED Founder Kunal Shah and KreditBee Founder Madhusudhan Ekambaram.
Rahil Rangwala, Managing Partner at Accion Ventures, said the company's approach could support financial institutions serving customers with limited digital and financial literacy.
Sahil Anand, Managing Partner at Cedar Hill Capital, highlighted RevRag's integration within existing customer journeys, noting that its agents are designed to support users throughout different stages of financial transactions.
The investment comes as financial services providers increasingly explore agentic AI systems capable of performing tasks within business applications rather than responding only to customer queries.
Such systems are being developed for use cases including customer onboarding, account servicing, financial product discovery and transaction assistance.
RevRag's expansion plans will focus on strengthening its technology platform and increasing adoption among enterprise customers while establishing a presence in the US financial services market.
The company has not disclosed a timeline for its US expansion or the valuation associated with the latest funding round.
