Aditya Jain, Chief Marketing Officer, Excitel Broadband

Internet service provider Excitel Broadband has appointed Aditya Jain as its Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), strengthening its leadership team as the company looks to expand its consumer reach and accelerate brand-led growth in India's competitive broadband market. The appointment marks Jain's return to the company, where he will lead brand strategy, customer acquisition, digital marketing and overall marketing transformation.

In his new role, Jain will oversee Excitel's integrated marketing efforts across brand building, customer engagement, digital campaigns and product positioning. The company said the appointment aligns with its strategy of enhancing customer experience while expanding its presence in key broadband markets across the country.

Jain brings more than a decade of experience in brand management, consumer marketing and business strategy across sectors including FMCG, healthcare and telecommunications. Before joining Excitel, he held leadership roles at Godfrey Phillips India, where he managed several consumer brands and product launches. Earlier in his career, he worked at Pfizer, contributing to the launch and growth of healthcare brands in the Indian market.

Excitel said Jain's experience in developing consumer brands and executing data-driven marketing strategies will support the company's next phase of growth. His responsibilities will include driving awareness for Excitel's broadband services, strengthening customer loyalty initiatives and developing marketing campaigns aimed at increasing subscriber acquisition.

The appointment comes at a time when broadband providers are competing aggressively to attract consumers amid rising demand for high-speed internet, video streaming, online gaming and remote work. Companies across the sector are increasingly investing in brand differentiation, digital marketing and customer experience as broadband adoption continues to grow in urban and semi urban markets.

Excitel has positioned itself as an affordable broadband provider offering fibre internet services across multiple Indian cities. The company has steadily expanded its footprint over the past few years while introducing bundled entertainment offerings and higher-speed plans to compete with established telecom and broadband operators.

Industry analysts note that marketing has become a critical differentiator in the broadband segment as providers move beyond pricing to compete on customer experience, service reliability and digital engagement. Personalised campaigns, performance marketing and regional outreach are increasingly shaping customer acquisition strategies across the sector.

Jain's appointment also reflects a broader trend of companies strengthening senior marketing leadership to navigate changing consumer behaviour and intensifying competition. Businesses across telecommunications, technology and digital services have been appointing experienced marketing executives to lead brand transformation initiatives and support long-term business growth.

Excitel has previously partnered with marketing agencies to strengthen its digital communication and youth-focused positioning. With Jain now leading the marketing function, the company is expected to further sharpen its brand identity while expanding customer engagement initiatives across digital and offline channels.

The leadership announcement follows a series of organisational changes at Excitel in recent months. Earlier this year, former Excitel co-founder and CEO Vivek Raina moved to broadband provider GTPL Broadband as Chief Executive Officer, marking another notable leadership transition within the Indian broadband industry.

As India's fibre broadband market continues to evolve, Excitel's latest leadership appointment signals the company's focus on strengthening its marketing capabilities while pursuing the next phase of customer and business growth.
