Blue Cloud Softech Solutions has been confirmed as an Industry Partner for the proposed IndiaAI Centre of Excellence in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, as the government-backed initiative looks to support applied artificial intelligence development and startup incubation.
Software Technology Parks of India, an autonomous society under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, has formally confirmed the company's association with the Centre. The proposed AI Centre of Excellence has received in-principle approval from MeitY following a recommendation from the Government of Odisha.
Blue Cloud will now begin the process of executing a definitive Memorandum of Understanding with STPI. Under the proposed agreement, the company will contribute ₹4 crore towards the development of the Centre while providing industry leadership, mentorship and strategic support to AI startups.
STPI has earmarked approximately 10,000 square feet of built-up space and supporting infrastructure for the Centre in Bhubaneswar.
The facility is expected to focus on applied AI innovation, startup incubation, capacity building and the development of scalable AI solutions. Priority areas include healthcare, governance, disaster management, education and industrial applications.
The Centre will also explore AI applications aligned with Odisha's geographical and developmental requirements. These include oceanography, coastal fisheries, tidal and ocean energy, as well as women and child development.
Blue Cloud plans to make its existing technology platforms and engineering capabilities available to startups incubated at the Centre. These include BluHealth, its camera-based health screening platform, Blura SAGA and SOCEYE for public safety and governance, and Access Genie, its AI and digital infrastructure stack.
The company also plans to provide participating startups with access to its enterprise and government network, potentially supporting the deployment of technologies developed through the Bhubaneswar initiative across India and other markets.
Blue Cloud Group Chairman Tejesh Kumar Kodali said the company's involvement would extend beyond its financial contribution, with its platforms, engineering teams and mentorship expected to support startups working through the Centre.
The initiative forms part of the broader IndiaAI Mission administered by MeitY, which is aimed at developing India's AI ecosystem through areas including compute infrastructure, innovation, datasets, skills and responsible AI.
The partnership, however, is not yet at the final agreement stage. STPI has confirmed Blue Cloud's association as an Industry Partner and requested the company to proceed with the definitive MoU. Blue Cloud said it will provide further updates as the agreement and development of the Centre progress.
