The new facility will demonstrate AI-powered manufacturing, digital twins and industrial robotics, allowing enterprises to explore applications across production and factory operations.

L&T Technology Services (LTTS) has inaugurated an AI-Native Engineering Intelligence (EI) Lab for Digital Manufacturing at its Bengaluru campus, featuring NVIDIA-powered technologies to demonstrate the use of artificial intelligence, digital twins and autonomous systems in industrial operations.

Announced on October 12, 2026, the facility is designed to help manufacturers explore how AI can be integrated into production processes, equipment management and factory operations. It will provide customers and partners with live demonstrations and simulation-based environments for evaluating industrial AI applications.

The lab brings together LTTS' engineering capabilities and NVIDIA's accelerated computing technologies to support digital manufacturing, industrial robotics, supply chain management, energy efficiency and asset reliability.

According to the company, the facility includes an AI-powered Manufacturing Command Center that provides manufacturing data integration, decision-making capabilities and production planning tools. It also incorporates a supply chain control tower and systems for comparing performance across multiple manufacturing plants.

A central component is the AI-Native Factory environment, which demonstrates how intelligent machines, robots, collaborative robots, drones and digital twins can operate together to perform manufacturing tasks with varying levels of autonomy.

The environment uses NVIDIA technologies, including Omniverse, Isaac Sim, PhysX, Cosmos and NeMo, alongside OpenUSD-based digital twin workflows. These tools support factory simulation, virtual testing and the development of AI-enabled industrial systems.

LTTS has also introduced an Operations AI and Autonomy layer designed to verify actions generated by AI agents before they are executed by physical machinery. The company said this verification mechanism is intended to support controlled decision-making across connected manufacturing environments.

The lab further incorporates EIOne, LTTS' unified Engineering Intelligence platform, which brings together more than 100 engineering intelligence solutions and agentic AI systems. The platform is designed to support the development, deployment and management of AI-driven engineering and manufacturing workflows.

Vishal Dhupar, Managing Director for South Asia at NVIDIA, said the facility would provide manufacturers with an environment to explore and validate AI-driven approaches using simulation and industrial computing technologies.

Amit Chadha, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of L&T Technology Services, said the lab would allow customers to examine how engineering, AI and physical systems could be combined to address manufacturing requirements.

He added that the collaboration with NVIDIA brings advanced simulation and accelerated computing capabilities into the facility, while LTTS contributes its engineering and manufacturing expertise.

The launch forms part of LTTS' broader Engineering Intelligence strategy, which focuses on applying AI and digital engineering technologies across industrial processes.

The company has positioned the Bengaluru lab as a demonstration and validation environment rather than announcing a specific commercial deployment.

LTTS has not disclosed the investment made in establishing the facility or provided customer adoption targets.
