SpeedCloud Global Cloud and AI Platform
Indian cloud services provider NxtGen has launched SpeedCloud Global, expanding its managed cloud and artificial intelligence services beyond India as it looks to serve enterprise workloads in international markets.

The expansion takes NxtGen's cloud and AI infrastructure offering overseas, with the company positioning cost, performance and managed services as key components of its global strategy. SpeedCloud Global builds on the company's existing cloud operations in India and will target enterprises looking for alternatives in the cloud infrastructure market.

NxtGen claims that SpeedCloud Global can run general workloads at costs 39 to 48% lower than leading hyperscalers and enable cloud deployments within 48 hours. The company has not disclosed the benchmark methodology, workload configurations or hyperscalers used to arrive at the cost comparison, making the figures company-provided estimates rather than independently verified benchmarks.

"Today we take India's cloud to the world," A S Rajgopal, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of NxtGen, said while announcing the expansion. He added that India was moving beyond its traditional role as a technology back office to build cloud infrastructure capable of competing internationally on performance and cost.

The global launch builds on NxtGen's portfolio of cloud and AI infrastructure services in India. According to the company, it currently serves more than 1,000 customers and over 200 government departments.

Its cloud portfolio includes the public cloud platform SpeedCloud, SpeedCloud Supreme for private cloud environments and industry-focused offerings for sectors including financial services and government.

Artificial intelligence infrastructure is also becoming a larger component of NxtGen's offering. SpeedCloud provides AI computing instances using GPU infrastructure from NVIDIA, AMD and Intel. The platform supports enterprise AI workloads, including model training and inference, alongside access to open-source AI models and applications.

NxtGen is also among the cloud service providers empanelled to provide AI services through the IndiaAI Mission's compute infrastructure, which is intended to broaden access to computing resources for India's AI ecosystem.

The company is carrying its focus on security and compliance into its international expansion. NxtGen lists certifications across information security, cloud security, privacy, IT service management and payment security, including ISO standards, SOC certifications and PCI DSS.

The launch comes as enterprises evaluate cloud infrastructure not only on computing capacity but also on factors such as data governance, cost, workload portability and access to AI infrastructure. NxtGen's domestic positioning has centred on sovereign cloud and open-source technologies, with SpeedCloud built using platforms including OpenStack and OpenShift.

However, NxtGen has not yet disclosed the first countries or cloud regions where SpeedCloud Global will become available. Details of international data centre partnerships supporting the expansion have also not been announced.

With SpeedCloud Global, NxtGen is extending an India-developed cloud and AI stack into overseas markets, putting its infrastructure and managed services in competition for a wider share of enterprise cloud and AI workloads.
