Eternal founder and Vice Chairman Deepinder Goyal has teased a new artificial intelligence product called Dark.ai, indicating that the company is preparing to introduce another technology offering beyond its existing consumer-facing businesses.
Goyal shared the announcement on X on Wednesday, October 21, posting an image of two screens displaying the branding "Dark by Eternal". The post also included a reference to the product's website and indicated that further details would be announced soon.
The development comes ahead of Eternal's financial results for the second quarter of FY27, which are expected to provide an update on the company's performance across its food delivery, quick commerce and other businesses.
Eternal, formerly known as Zomato, operates several consumer and business platforms, including Zomato, quick commerce service Blinkit, business-to-business food supply platform Hyperpure and going-out business District.
While the teaser identifies Dark.ai as an offering associated with Eternal, the company has not disclosed its features, intended users, pricing or expected launch date.
It has also not clarified whether Dark.ai will operate as a standalone product or be integrated into Eternal's existing digital platforms.
The announcement comes as businesses across sectors continue to explore the use of artificial intelligence in customer-facing services, operational processes and software development.
For technology companies operating large digital platforms, AI applications can support activities ranging from customer assistance and data analysis to workflow automation. However, Eternal has not specified which of these areas, if any, Dark.ai will address.
The teaser also follows Goyal's involvement in technology initiatives outside Eternal's established food delivery and commerce operations.
One such initiative is Temple, a wearable device being developed by his health technology company, Temple Private Limited.
The device is designed to be worn near the temple and uses optical sensors to monitor cerebral blood flow. Goyal has positioned the product for performance-focused users, including athletes.
Earlier this year, Goyal disclosed that Temple had raised capital through a friends-and-family funding round at a reported post-money valuation of approximately $190 million. The valuation has not been independently verified.
Temple is preparing to open pre-orders on November 1, with the company targeting deliveries before the end of 2026. Its commercial pricing has not yet been announced.
The wearable remains separate from Eternal's core operations, and no connection between Temple and Dark.ai has been disclosed.
For Eternal, the Dark.ai announcement introduces another potential technology initiative at a time when the company continues to operate across multiple digital commerce categories.
However, the extent of Eternal's investment in the project, its development stage and its proposed business model remain undisclosed.
Further information about Dark.ai's capabilities and commercial availability is expected when the company provides additional product details.
