Amazon has introduced two personal artificial intelligence (AI) devices, Bee Frontier and Bee Eclipse, designed to capture conversations and convert them into summaries, reminders, to-do lists and personalised insights. The launch expands the company's AI hardware portfolio with devices intended to assist users in managing everyday information and activities.
The two devices offer different form factors while sharing AI-powered conversation processing capabilities. Bee Frontier is a wearable device that can be attached to clothing or worn on the wrist, while Bee Eclipse is a magnetic accessory designed to attach to the back of a smartphone.
Bee Frontier is priced at $74.99, approximately Rs 6,600, and is available in Onyx, Lavender and Sage colour options. Bee Eclipse costs $99.99, approximately Rs 8,800, and comes in Blush, Midnight and Silver.
Both devices work with Amazon's Bee application, which organises information gathered from conversations into actionable summaries and reminders. The system can retain details related to appointments, shopping lists, travel plans and other activities, allowing users to revisit information through mobile and desktop interfaces.
Amazon has also introduced a Bee Pro subscription priced at $11.99 per month, approximately Rs 1,000. The subscription provides unlimited recent conversation summaries, suggested tasks, daily memories and integrations with additional services. New customers receive a 30-day free trial, while standard users can access conversation summaries, recaps and a 14-day memory feature without additional charges.
The devices support integrations with Gmail, Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook and Apple HealthKit. They also connect with Alexa+ and Amazon.com, allowing users to retrieve information through voice commands and receive shopping recommendations based on products discussed during conversations.
Bee Frontier features dual microphones with noise-filtering technology, USB Type-C charging and IP67-rated water resistance. Amazon claims the wearable can operate for up to seven days on a single charge.
Bee Eclipse, meanwhile, is designed primarily for phone conversations and offers a claimed battery life exceeding 21 days. The credit card-sized device includes a dedicated control button and an indicator light showing when conversation processing is active.
Amazon said both devices use its Bee Private Compute security architecture. According to the company, conversation transcripts are encrypted using keys controlled by users' devices, while audio is not retained after processing. Users can also delete stored transcripts and summaries.
The launch comes as technology companies expand AI capabilities beyond smartphones and conventional voice assistants into wearable and ambient computing devices.
For Amazon, the introduction of Bee Frontier and Bee Eclipse adds another category of personal AI hardware alongside its existing Alexa ecosystem, connecting conversational information with productivity tools and shopping services.
The devices have been introduced with US pricing, while details regarding their availability in India have not been announced.
