Grexa AI Secures ₹15.5 Cr to Power Autonomous Marketing for Small Businesses
Grexa AI Secures ₹15.5 Cr

Grexa AI, a rising martech startup founded by the creators of edtech platform Testbook, has raised ₹15.5 crore (approximately $1.85 million) in a seed funding round aimed at transforming how small businesses handle digital marketing in India.

The funding round was led by Utsav Somani, with participation from Bharat Founders Fund, DeVC, Vernalis Capital, and notable angel investors including Revant Bhate, Vaibhav Domkundwar, Ramakant Sharma, and Sumit Gupta. The capital infusion will support product development and expand go-to-market operations.

Making Marketing Accessible for Small Enterprises

Founded in 2024 by Ashutosh Kumar, Ayush Varshney, Arpit Oswal, and Narendra Agrawal, Grexa AI offers an AI-powered platform that automates the end-to-end marketing needs of small businesses—eliminating the need for external agencies or digital freelancers. The platform is designed specifically for Indian micro and small enterprises such as salons, gyms, clinics, cafés, travel agencies, and coaching centres.

Speaking about the vision, Co-founder and CEO Ashutosh Kumar stated, “Grexa was built to empower the 63 million small businesses in India that struggle with structured marketing support. We are offering a cost-effective, automated solution that enables these businesses to grow without hiring marketers or agencies.”

AI-Powered, All-in-One Marketing Platform

The Grexa platform handles tasks ranging from social media content creation and local SEO optimization to online ads and website management. Its autonomous engine continuously learns from real-time business data, ensuring that campaigns are tailored and responsive without requiring users to have any technical expertise.

According to the company, the product is already being used by over 21,600 businesses since its beta launch. Grexa AI’s goal is to onboard one million small enterprises in the next two years, expanding reach across Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities where digital marketing resources remain scarce.

Backing from Strategic Investors

The investors backing Grexa AI bring deep domain knowledge and strategic value. Lead investor Utsav Somani commented, “Grexa’s founders have a strong track record in building scalable digital products for India. Their AI-led approach to solving one of the most persistent problems faced by SMBs—marketing—is both timely and transformative.”

Bhavin Shah of DeVC noted that India’s small business segment is underserved when it comes to affordable, tech-enabled marketing. “Grexa has the potential to become the go-to platform for SMBs looking to digitize their customer engagement and brand presence,” he added.

Future Roadmap

With the newly secured funding, Grexa AI plans to ramp up its engineering team and introduce new AI capabilities, including automated insights, voice-based commands, and industry-specific campaign templates. It will also expand its partner network to reach small business owners who are less digitally inclined.

The startup is focused on building a self-serve, mobile-first experience to ensure accessibility for business owners managing operations on the go.

Market Opportunity

India’s small and medium enterprise (SME) sector contributes over 30% to the country’s GDP and is a significant employment generator. Yet, digital adoption—particularly in marketing—remains low due to budget constraints and lack of awareness. Grexa AI positions itself as a plug-and-play solution to this gap, combining automation, affordability, and localized relevance.

Conclusion

Grexa AI’s seed round signals growing investor confidence in AI-led marketing solutions tailored for emerging economies. As the martech space becomes increasingly data-driven, platforms like Grexa are set to redefine how businesses, especially at the grassroots level, connect with their customers.
