Pramod Vasudevan, President of Lubricants Division, Savita Oil Technologies

Savita Oil Technologies has appointed Pramod Vasudevan as President of its Lubricants Division, bringing an experienced automotive and mobility industry executive into a leadership role as the company looks to strengthen its lubricants business.

In his new role, Vasudevan will be responsible for leading the lubricants division and supporting its growth strategy. His mandate will include strengthening the business, expanding its market presence and building on the company’s position across automotive and industrial lubricant categories.

Vasudevan brings more than three decades of professional experience across the automotive, mobility and lubricant sectors. His career has included leadership responsibilities spanning sales, marketing, business development, operations and strategic growth.

Before joining Savita Oil Technologies, Vasudevan served as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of ZF Commercial Vehicle Control Systems India, formerly known as WABCO India. During his tenure, he was involved in the company’s operations and growth in the commercial vehicle technology market.

His professional journey has also included a long association with Shell, where he held multiple leadership positions across India and international markets. His experience at the energy company covered areas including lubricants, sales and commercial operations, giving him exposure to both domestic and global markets.

Vasudevan has also worked with companies including Castrol India and Tata Motors during his career. His experience across automotive manufacturers, component companies and lubricant businesses gives him a background spanning different parts of the mobility ecosystem.

Savita Oil Technologies operates across petroleum speciality products and lubricants. The company’s portfolio includes transformer oils, white oils, liquid paraffins and automotive and industrial lubricants. Its lubricants business operates through the SAVSOL brand, which serves automotive and industrial customers.

The appointment comes as lubricant companies navigate changes across the mobility sector, including evolving vehicle technologies, changing performance requirements and increasing competition across automotive and industrial applications. Leadership appointments in the segment are increasingly focused on combining traditional distribution and sales capabilities with product development and longer-term business transformation.

For Savita Oil Technologies, Vasudevan’s appointment places an executive with experience across automotive technology, energy and lubricants at the helm of a key business division.

As President of the Lubricants Division, he will be tasked with steering the company’s lubricants strategy and supporting its growth plans across the Indian market.
