GMR Airports has appointed Anushree Bose as General Manager, Marketing, strengthening its marketing leadership as the airport infrastructure company continues to expand its passenger and consumer engagement initiatives.
Bose announced the move through a LinkedIn update, describing the appointment as the beginning of a new professional chapter. In her new role, she will be associated with the marketing function at GMR Airports, which operates across a portfolio of airport assets in India and international markets.
She joins GMR Airports after a long stint with Coca-Cola India, where she spent more than a decade across marketing, brand management and integrated marketing communications roles.
During her time at Coca-Cola, Bose worked across several brands and marketing mandates. Most recently, she served as Director, Integrated Marketing Experience, where her responsibilities included building integrated consumer experiences across different marketing touchpoints.
Her experience at the beverage company also included leadership responsibilities across brands such as Coca-Cola, Thums Up and Sprite. Over the years, she worked on brand strategy, consumer engagement and integrated campaigns across Coca-Cola's portfolio in India and South West Asia.
Before joining Coca-Cola, Bose worked with organisations including PepsiCo and Wrigley, adding experience across the food and beverage and consumer goods sectors. Her career has covered brand management, marketing strategy, consumer insights and integrated communications.
The move brings Bose's consumer marketing experience into the airport and travel ecosystem, where operators are increasingly focusing on passenger experience, retail, digital engagement and brand-led interactions across the customer journey.
GMR Airports is part of the GMR Group and has operations across airport development and management. Its portfolio includes major aviation assets such as Delhi International Airport and Hyderabad International Airport, alongside other airport projects in India and overseas.
The appointment comes as airports increasingly evolve beyond their traditional role as transportation infrastructure. Digital services, loyalty programmes, retail experiences, food and beverage offerings, advertising and personalised passenger communication are becoming a larger part of how airport operators engage travellers.
For GMR Airports, Bose's appointment adds an executive with extensive consumer brand experience to its marketing function as the company continues to develop its airport portfolio and passenger-facing ecosystem.
Her transition also reflects the movement of senior marketing professionals across sectors as businesses look for experience in building consumer engagement across physical and digital touchpoints.
