Upadrasta will lead client acquisition, market expansion and executive engagement as the company strengthens its focus on global capability centres and AI-led engineering services.
QualiZeal, an AI-native quality engineering and assurance services company, has appointed Sunil Upadrasta as Vice President and India Head, Global Capability Centres (GCC), as it looks to expand its business with global enterprises and strengthen its presence in the GCC segment.
In his new role, Upadrasta will oversee QualiZeal's GCC business in India, with responsibilities covering new client acquisition, market expansion and engagement with senior enterprise executives. The appointment is intended to provide dedicated leadership for the company's GCC-focused operations.
Upadrasta brings more than 23 years of experience across sales, business development, client engagement, service delivery, practice leadership, digital transformation and profit-and-loss management.
He has previously held leadership positions at Atos Syntel, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and Reliance Retail. His professional experience spans several industries, including retail, financial services, healthcare, transportation and technology.
The appointment comes as global capability centres in India increasingly take on responsibilities beyond traditional technology delivery and operational support. Many GCCs are expanding their involvement in product development, platform management, quality engineering, automation and artificial intelligence.
QualiZeal said the appointment aligns with its efforts to strengthen relationships with enterprises seeking specialised technology capabilities, particularly in AI engineering and software quality assurance.
Kalyan Konda, Co-Founder, Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of QualiZeal, said GCCs remain an important focus area for the company. He indicated that Upadrasta's experience working with global enterprises would support QualiZeal's engagement with GCCs as their responsibilities expand.
Commenting on his appointment, Upadrasta highlighted the changing role of GCCs, which are increasingly taking ownership of products, platforms, quality and AI-related functions rather than concentrating solely on execution.
He said his priorities would include working with chief experience officers, technology leaders and other enterprise executives to translate business requirements into technology solutions and measurable outcomes.
Founded in 2021, QualiZeal provides quality engineering, AI assurance and related technology services to enterprise customers. According to the company, it employs more than 1,100 professionals and serves over 70 global enterprise clients, including Fortune 500 companies and GCCs.
Its technology portfolio includes QMentisAI, which focuses on agentic quality engineering; ValidAIte, an AI assurance offering; and NexaAI, which supports AI advisory and development activities.
The company has also outlined its Vision 2028 objective of reaching $100 million in annual revenue, positioning the target as part of its longer-term business expansion plans.
Upadrasta's appointment adds a dedicated leadership role to QualiZeal's GCC operations as the company seeks to expand its enterprise relationships and services across quality engineering, AI assurance and digital transformation.
