Chennai to Roll Out AI Powered Intelligent Transport System

Chennai is set to roll out an artificial intelligence based Intelligent Transport System (ITS) as part of its efforts to improve traffic management, reduce congestion and enhance road safety. The initiative will introduce AI enabled traffic monitoring, adaptive signal control and real time surveillance to support more efficient urban mobility across the city.

The project is being implemented by the Greater Chennai Corporation in collaboration with transport and traffic authorities.
