Metaforms Raises $9 Million in Series A to Scale AI-Powered Market Research Automation
Metaforms Raises $9 Million in Series A

Bengaluru-based startup backed by Peak XV aims to transform traditional research workflows with no-code AI solutions

Metaforms, a Bengaluru-based AI startup focused on automating market research workflows, has secured $9 million in Series A funding. The round was led by Peak XV Partners (formerly Sequoia Capital India), with participation from venture capital firms including Together Fund and existing investor Venture Highway.

Founded in 2021 by IIT Bombay alumni Ishan Agarwal and Shubh Tiwari, Metaforms aims to reshape how consumer brands and research agencies gather, analyze, and act on market intelligence. The company offers no-code tools that enable users to build AI-powered workflows for end-to-end research—from survey creation to insights generation—without requiring technical expertise.

Streamlining Market Research with AI

Metaforms positions itself at the intersection of generative AI and enterprise productivity. The platform caters to large consumer goods companies, consultancies, and research firms that rely on high-volume, high-speed data collection and analysis.

Unlike traditional research tools that operate in silos—requiring separate platforms for survey scripting, data analysis, and reporting—Metaforms offers an integrated suite where users can automate complex tasks. The system allows for AI-generated questionnaires, intelligent sampling, data cleaning, and customizable visual dashboards, reducing turnaround time and cost.

Speaking on the fundraise, co-founder Ishan Agarwal stated, “Our goal is to empower research teams to focus on insights and strategy by automating repetitive and manual processes. This funding will help us scale faster and serve global customers more effectively.”

Investor Confidence and Market Momentum

The investment reflects growing confidence in vertical AI solutions that address domain-specific challenges. Peak XV Partner Harshjit Sethi emphasized the strategic potential of Metaforms, saying, “We believe Metaforms is building a transformative SaaS platform for research operations. They are unlocking tremendous efficiency for enterprises by bringing generative AI into core workflows.”

The market research industry, traditionally dependent on human-led analysis, is undergoing a rapid transformation. According to a report by Statista, the global market research services sector is projected to exceed $110 billion by 2027, driven in part by the increasing adoption of AI tools.

Metaforms already counts several global FMCG brands and consultancies as clients, though the company has not disclosed specific names. With the fresh capital, the startup plans to strengthen product development, expand its customer success teams, and enter new international markets.

Differentiated by a No-Code Approach

One of Metaforms’ key differentiators is its no-code interface. This allows business and research users—often without deep technical knowledge—to build bespoke workflows using simple drag-and-drop tools. From generating multilingual surveys to producing executive-ready reports in real time, the platform is designed to boost productivity and collaboration across distributed teams.

The startup also touts robust data security and compliance features, which are critical for clients in highly regulated sectors such as finance and healthcare.

What’s Next for Metaforms

The Series A funding will be used to deepen AI capabilities, enhance user experience, and scale the platform’s global reach. The company is also exploring partnerships with research agencies to integrate Metaforms into their service offerings.

With enterprises increasingly leaning on automation to stay agile and cost-efficient, Metaforms’ proposition of building “research workflows on autopilot” appears timely. As the lines blur between technology and insight generation, startups like Metaforms are positioning themselves to redefine the future of market intelligence.
